The Saint Louis University Student Health Center provides medical treatment, outpatient services, and a variety of educational programs for all full-time, part-time, and graduate students.
Physicians are faculty of the Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Our staff include: a nurse supervisor, a physician medical director, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, a medical assistant , a radiologic technologist and ancillary staff members.
Renee Jonas, Director of Student Health
Renee Jonas joined the Student Health Center in 2006. She received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado, a Master of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Geographic Information Systems from Saint Louis University in 2014, and is now working towards a PhD in Public and Social Policy with emphasis on Geo-Spatial Analysis and Health Policy.
Nancy Delaney, MD, Full-Time Physician
Nancy Delaney received her medical degree from Brown University Medical School in 1980. She interned and completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Florida. After completing a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at Washington University, she worked as an internist and endocrinologist in private practice before coming to Student Health in 2000. Dr. Delaney is board certified in internal medicine.
Jennifer Stateler, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS - Physical Therapy Clinical Service Manager
Jennifer Stateler joined the program in physical therapy at the Student Health Center in February 2016. She graduated from Saint Louis University in 2007 with her Master of Physical Therapy and again in 2010 with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She then completed Evidence in Motion's Orthopedic Residency Program and became a board certified clinical specialist in orthopedics in 2012.
Ali Bradley, BSN RN - Nurse Supervisor
Ali Bradley earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 1994 and worked in medical/surgery, orthopedics and geriatrics prior to joining the Student Health Center in 2004.
Katie Skosky, BSN RN
Kate Skosky has been a registered nurse since 2011 and joined the SLU Student Health Center in 2014. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville in 2009. She graduated from the accelerated bachelor of science in nursing program at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville in 2010. Since graduating, she has worked in both trauma and orthopedics at Saint Louis University Hospital as well as in the PICU at Cardinal Glennon. She is currently working on her master's degree in the family nurse practitioner program at Saint Louis University, and hopes to practice at the Student Health Center after graduation.
Debbie Catanzaro, RN
After she graduated from Maryville University in 1972, Debbie Catanzaro acquired a varied background in nursing experiences at Lutheran Medical Center. She was instrumental in establishing the Saint Louis University Student Health Center in 1992. After 23 years at SLU, she retired as the center’s assistant director and has remained on staff as a PRN nurse.
Elise Molner, BSN RN
Elise Molner received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Loyola University Chicago and has worked in a level one trauma center emergency department since 1998. In addition, she began working as PRN nurse at the Student Health Center in 2012.
Beth Vesper, BSN RN
Beth Vesper has been a registered nurse since 2007. She joined the SLU Student Health Center in 2017. Beth graduated from the accelerated bachelor of science in nursing program at the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2007. She has worked in trauma critical care at BJC, in school nursing for the Special School District of St. Louis County, and as a nurse educator. Beth also holds a BA and MA in English from the University of Missouri-Columbia and enjoyed careers in teaching and information technology prior to entering the field of nursing.
Tiffany Jones, RMA
Tiffany Jones started working at the Student Health Center in 2009 after receiving her certificate from Saint Louis College of Health Careers and becoming a registered medical assistant. She is currently a junior with the School of Professional Studies earning a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies and plans to continue on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing to become a registered nurse.
Shahida Ahmed, RT
Shahida Ahmed has been a registered radiologic technologist since 2008. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Education and then went on to receive her Applied Science Degree in Radiology at Forest Park Community College in St. Louis. She completed her clinical at Barnes Jewish Hospital, Des Peres Hospital and some local private practices. She joined the Student Health Center team in 2010 and enjoys partnering with the students in their health care.
Kristine Schmidt, Senior Patient Care Coordinator
Kristine Schmidt has been with the Student Health Center since March 2014. Prior to SLU, she had four years of experience in corporate human resources as well as seven years of administrative experience working in a hospital setting. She has always felt that she belongs in the medical field and would love to continue her education to become a registered nurse.
Kathy Fernandez, Senior Patient Care Coordinator
Kathy Fernandez has been with Saint Louis University since 2012, and joined the Student Health Center in March of 2015. Previously, she worked in practice management operations on the medical side of the SLU campus. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing/Management with a minor in management from Southeast Missouri State University.
Jessica Tensley, Patient Care Coordinator
Jessica Tensley is the newest member of the team at the Student Health Center, joining us in 2015. She came to us with experience as a medical receptionist and a background in medical billing and coding.
Laura Tiepelman, Sr. Billing Representative
Laura Tiepelman has been with the Student Health Center since March 2015. She has been in the medical field for the last 28 years doing medical billing and front office duties; the majority of the time has been in the neurosurgery and orthopedic fields.
Micki Cobble, Billing Representative
Micki Cobble first was introduced to the health care industry in 1982. She was a technical writing specialist in the health care unit of a Dallas-based corporation for nearly 25 years before transitioning to the patient care side of health care in 2007. She has been with the Student Health Center since 2008, serving the first seven years in the general health clinics and billing operations. She now provides office support solely to the physical therapy clinic.
