Community Services Federal Work Study Jobs

Through the SLU Community Service Federal Work Study Program, students can earn $10 per hour working at a local non-profit. You can gain valuable experience, all while making a difference.

Community Service Federal Work Study (FWS) jobs available for the 2018-2019 school year are listed below by site. Each site has a short description of their mission. Simply click on the job listing for a preview, then follow the links to log in and apply via Handshake, SLU's job database. All jobs listed pay $10 per hour.

Arts and Education Council

Non-profit organization that brings arts awareness and education to under-served communities throughout St. Louis.

Big Brothers Big Sisters

Non-profit organization that connects "Bigs" to "Littles" for a one-on-one youth mentoring relationship.

Campus Kitchen

This on-campus soup kitchen in Reinert Hall provides hundreds of meals each week to the elderly, disabled and low-income residents around campus.

City Garden Montessori School

SLU-sponsored charter school for children grades K-8, serving the neighborhoods of Forest Park Southeast and Tower Grove.

Earthdance Farms

This non-profit organization in North County maintains multiple community garden areas to provide produce and educational outreach to the local community.

Flance Early Learning Center

This pre-school serves low-income children ages 6 weeks to 6 years in North St. Louis.

Good Life Growing

Community organization that creates and helps sustain eco-friendly gardens in food desert areas throughout North St. Louis

Grance Center Arts Academy

Charter school north of campus for grades 6-12, with a focus on the fine and performing arts.

Mission STL

Mission St. Louis provides multiple social services to adults, youth, and families living in poverty in the City of St. Louis.
